Victory for Children’s Rights and Common Sense in Texas

Texas Children’s Hospital’s agreement to stop harming kids under the guise of “gender medicine” is a great victory for children’s rights and common sense in the Lone Star State.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton spearheaded a lawsuit alleging the hospital falsely billed Texas Medicaid for illegal “transgender” medical interventions.

A settlement was first announced in May. Now, it’s been finalized.

As our Daily Citizen team reported, the settlement requires the hospital to:

• Stop performing sex-rejecting surgeries and hormone interventions on minors.

Sophie Cunningham is a Woman of Faith Who Stands Firm in Face of Controversy

Unless you’ve been completely unplugged this past year, you’ve inevitably heard of the WNBA’s Sophie Cunningham – a standout star in the women’s professional basketball league best known for her aggressive play on the court and her boldness and courage off it.

The former University of Missouri All-American, Cunningham has been in the WNBA since 2019. Drafted by the Phoenix Mercury, the 29-year-old was traded to the Indiana Fever last year. Playing alongside star Caitlin Clark, Sophie helped lead her new team to win the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The Silent Epidemic of Parent-Child Estrangement

You may have seen the news that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is estranged from several members of his family – a heartbreaking story that sadly is becoming increasingly common.

In fact, Focus on the Family counselors speak every month with mothers and fathers whose adult children have cut them off from any meaningful relationship. A recent survey found that 38% of adults refuse to talk with at least one of their parents.

In most cases, the son or daughter weren’t abused or mistreated.

Pro-Life Activist Paul Vaughn Reaches Settlement With DOJ

Pro-life activist Paul Vaughn’s recent settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice is a win for life, justice and the rule of law.

Vaughn, a Christian father of now 11 children, was arrested in 2022 in an early morning raid by heavily armed FBI agents at the family’s Tennessee farmhouse. He was hauled away in front of his frightened wife and their seven children (including an 18-month-old).Vaughn and 10 others were charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act for peacefully protesting at an abortion clinic in Nashville, where the activists prayed and sang worship songs.

Today’s Supreme Court Decision on Girls’ and Women’s Sports

Today’s Supreme Court decision on women’s sports is a win for reality.

It is also a victory for the generations who labored for decades to ensure that our daughters would have the right to compete fairly in athletic events. Radical activists have threatened not only that right but the physical safety of girls and women as well.

While the ruling acknowledges that states and schools may provide separate women’s and men’s sports teams based on biological sex, it does not invalidate existing laws or prohibit legislatures in blue states from enacting new policies that are detached from biological reality.

Allegation: The Southern Poverty Law Center is a Massive Fraud and Hate Operation

According to the Justice Department, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is guilty of fraudulently manufacturing and fabricating the very “hate” they have claimed to be exposing and fighting with the hundreds of millions of dollars they’ve extorted from businesses and individuals.

The federal indictment announced on Tuesday lays out the stunning charges: the radical Alabama-based group has deceptively funneled millions of dollars to hate groups like the KKK in order to get them to stir up the very hate they claim to be combating.

Facing Mortality: Embracing Eternity

Former Senator Ben Sasse was looking forward to many more productive years. After beginning his professional career with two of the most prestigious management consulting firms in the world, he represented the state of Nebraska in the U.S. Senate from 2015 to 2023. He then served as president of the University of Florida from 2023 to 2024.

Then, just before Christmas 2025, at age 53, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, cancer in the pancreas doesn’t always reveal itself immediately, which means by the time a person senses there’s a problem, it’s too late.

Oklahoma University Student Was Victim of Religious Discrimination

In what may qualify as a quintessential example of religious bias and discrimination, University of Oklahoma junior Samantha Fulnecky was given a zero on an assignment – all because she cited the Bible and put forward a Christian worldview in her essay.

As part of her “Lifespan Development” class, Fulnecky was asked to offer her opinion and thoughts on an academic article titled, “Relations Among Gender Typicality, Peer Relations, and Mental Health During Early Adolescence.”

In shirt-sleeve English, the Sooner student was asked to offer her opinion “of some aspect of the article.” Fulnecky chose to respond to the claim that “gender-atypical” children are more prone to bullying and mental health problems due to the teasing.

Fulnecky disagreed with the author’s assertion that gender roles were somehow dangerous or detrimental stereotypes.

Mama Bear Prayers

When parents ask me for advice, I encourage them to pray. Sometimes prayer is all you have.

I’m sure you’ve had moments where you felt helpless to protect your child in the midst of circumstances that were beyond your control. Every parent has paced a hospital floor, lost sleep in worry, or kept vigil at a living room window until a child returned safely home. We’ve all bandaged enough scraped knees to know that we can’t protect our children from everything no matter how vigilant we are.

Build a Winning Game Plan for Your Marriage

Marriage is a unique gift from God. He takes two people – who are often complete opposites – and puts them together with the task of moving forward in unity.

But what happens when times get tough and circumstances change?

Well, couples who have a purpose, a direction, and a plan work through their struggles together and overcome their difficulties as a team.

Couples who don’t have a purpose, a direction, and a plan drift.

And what’s the solution for couples who begin to drift?
